Crus de l'Ouvèze Tasting

This year was the 7th anniversary of the Crus de l’Ouvèze tasting event and so far six local vineyards have shown their wines at this annual tasting. First held at the Mourchon winery, we were joined by seven other producers from the region – Domaine de l’Ameillaud – Cairanne, Domaine Sang des Cailloux – Vacqueyras, Domaine Clos du Caillou – Châteauneuf du Pape, Domaine Saint Amant – Beaumes de Venise, Domaine Chaume-Arnaud, Vinsobres, Château Saint Cosme, Gigondas and Domaine la Soumade, Rasteau. The concept is to show our wines to sommeliers and restaurateurs from the South of France as they are preparing their new wine-list for the coming season. Each year a different producer has hosted the tasting and our 2008 host was Domaine Sang des Cailloux who make an excellent Vacqueyras wine.
