Harvest 2008

This year our harvest went extremely smoothly with beautiful weather all the way through, and a great team of harvesters and winery workers who’s hard work and humour will stay long in the memory of the 2008 Vintage.

With an international workforce - Spanish, Moroccan, Tunisian – of pickers together with an Irishman and Frenchman driving the tractors the team picked and delivered one hundred tons of grapes to the winery for the first stage of vinification – fermentation. Here Sébastien our winemaker is actively involved in the initial stages of production ably assisted by his all girl team from Glasgow and New Jersey. Although slightly less in volume this year we have expectations of a good vintage at this early stage.

Our range of red wines for the 2008 vintage will be Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret -Tradition, Grande Réserve, and two special cuvées – One 100% Grenache and the other 100% Syrah. Also included in the range is the ever-popular Loubié rosé. The reds will be released during 2010 and the rosé in the spring of 2009.
