In recent times, the chemical compound resveratrol – originating from grape seeds –has received a great deal of media attention. Scientific research groups from as far a field as Taiwan to North Carolina are experimenting by monitoring the short and long-term effects of resveratrol. Claims from these groups vary from the elimination of fat cells, the anti-oxidant value of cancer prevention, and the overall improvement of health make this a hot subject. However, apparently there has yet to be this kind of research using human candidates and therefore no proof we can live longer and be healthier by taking resveratrol in some form. Us red wine drinkers and users of the Domaine de Mourchon resveratrol-based rich face cream can only live in hope!
